In the first third of 2004, you’ve established some trends — how would you rate your results, based on the efforts you’ve invested? Take an objective look at how you’re showing up — check your attitude, your self discipline, your attention to detail. Your practice is nothing more than a reflection of you, so if there’s an area that needs to be cleaned up, attack it from both the BE and the DO level.

Changing a behavior often depends on changing the underlying belief, so approach these areas of growth and opportunity with a willingness to investigate thoroughly. Ask yourself tough questions — is my success worth getting uncomfortable? Do I have enough confidence in myself to offer my services to others with pride and enthusiasm? Can I hold myself to a high enough standard so I can increase my service to humanity and reap an appropriate reward without guilt or apology?

Success in practice is more than just getting new patients and telling the story. You must grow yourself in those areas that have been holding you back, and demonstrate that growth in your practice and your life — that’s the key to happiness and fulfillment.
