April showers bring May flowers, and what you plan today will bear fruit down the road. With a third of the year already in the can, you can assess your progress and make whatever course corrections are appropriate.
As the weather gets nicer, turn your attention toward public relations. Consider some outdoor events – for example, you could sponsor a softball game for a popular local charity, or plan a health fair, or a screening, or a picnic – get out into the community, and be a part of the action! Also, May has two natural promotional points – Mother’s Day and Memorial Day. Honor your patients by acknowledging them properly, and encourage referrals so you can serve as many of your neighbors as possible.
If you’ve been doing great up till now, no coasting! Keep it in gear! And if things have been slower than you’d like, you have plenty of time to turn it around – but it will take commitment, and commitment depends on purpose. Make sure you are clear on your purpose, and you’ll look forward to investing the time, energy and capital to make this year great.
