Best Reading of 2020

Dennis Perman_Message of the Week

Dear Doctor:

Let’s face it – 2020 was a challenging year, to say the least. Many books have been written about the hardships, the suffering from widespread disease and death, the political conflicts, the toll on our citizens – but you already know about all of that.

In this year’s book list, I direct our focus back toward the possibilities of success, building great businesses and great lifestyles, creative genius, persuasion, constructive use of emotion, and above all, hope for our shared future.

Anthony Robbins says nothing has any meaning but the meaning we give it – our beliefs create our reality. It’s clear to me that we can, we must fill our lives with optimism, faith and positive expectancy. There is abundant opportunity, and as thought leaders, it’s our role to guide those we touch and serve toward happiness, satisfaction, fulfillment and love, to transcend the darkness of the recent past.

I also included two children’s books, one on affirmation and one on success – engage your kids and grandkids. It’s been really rough on many of them, and they need to read, learn, heal and grow, too.

If it is to be, it is up to we – and by accepting our responsibilities as educators, shepherds and Sherpas, we can make the biggest and most needed difference, right here, right now.

So with those words of purpose and intention, here are my selections, the best reading of 2020. You may have already ingested some of these – others you may not have heard of until now. But each is worth your attention, putting one more piece of the puzzle of ultimate goodness in place. Enjoy!
