Welcome to this week’s Thrive In Five. I’m Dr. Bob Hoffman for the Master Circle Global, where we build the most successful practices through chiropractic coaching. Today, we’re going to cover another real case study from one of our colleagues who completed the practice growth calculator. And I will show you how easy and how simple it is to rapidly and dramatically grow any practice including yours, but only if you know what to focus on. Today, we’re going to discuss how one simple change transforms a doctor’s life. The doctor who completed this actual practice growth calculate his first name is Calib. Calla tells us his practice averages 25 new patients a month with a PVA of 3.8 visits per new patient and an OVA his collection of $90.40 per visit. Now, please understand that a 3.8 PVA is not in the game. Honestly, it’s shockingly poor.

It’s almost impossible to grow a practice with a 3.8 PVA. Calib sees 24 people a week with 25 new patients a month. That’s almost impossible. His 25 new patients a month is solid and his $90.40 OVA is also solid. But we must shift this doctor’s beliefs, values, standards, recommendations, ability to earn the patient’s trust, his communication and persuasion skills, and much more. Calib requires a practice make-over, but with one simple but significant change. And I will show you that this one change will transform his practice, his impact, his income and his life. Let’s start out conservatively with laser focusing on growing and expanding his PVA from 3.8 visits per new patient per year to just 10. Yes, that’s right. I’m asking Calib to have every new patient average, just 10 visits a year. Think about it. That’s less than one visit a month on average.

That is it. Other than that, all he has to do is maintain a strong new patient attraction of approximately 25 new patients a month and his strong collection of $90.40 per visit. And then let’s see what happens. Well, 25 new patients at a 10 PVA will now generate 250 visits a month compared to the 96 visits a month he’s now taken care of. And 250 visits a month times $90.40 Will generate an income of $22,600 each month. Calib is currently collecting only $8,674 a month. So this one change will increase his income by $13,926 a month, or by $167,112 a year. Clearly, this one change costs nothing. It requires no additional equipment to purchase or lease, and doesn’t even require hiring anymore new. It will more than double his collections. In the business world that improvement is called profit. I don’t know for certain, but I’m willing to bet that the ranch than an additional $167,000 and $112 of extra profit a year will transform Calib’s life.

It’s just the first step up the ladder of growth. And once we target that and accomplish that, we will then work on further growth, with each of the three linchpins, new patients, PVA and OVA. It is a by-product of either poor training, poor thinking, not fully understanding the value of chiropractic care, inadequate language skills, not knowing what to recommend and a willingness to accept the crumbs instead of telling the universe really what you want and being willing to speak your truth with confidence and certainty.
