Welcome to this week’s Thrive in Five. I’m Dr. Bob Hoffman for The Masters Circle Global, where legends are made and legendary practices are built through chiropractic coaching. Today I wanna discuss the Six Practice Essential Secrets you must know and must learn to master. Many of our coaching clients collect a lot of money every month, and you can as well. But first, let’s de discuss the need to adapt to the new world and the new model of practice. Your practice today is very different from the practice you had just two years ago and dramatically different from a practice from 5, 10, or 20 years ago. Today’s most successful business model is based primarily on the six essential concepts I’m going to share with you, and yet shockingly, 99% of our profession is unaware of any of these concepts or how they support or interfere with your ability to run and grow your practice.

If you believe that the world hasn’t changed that much and how you should run your practice is mostly the same as it has always been, I could assure you, you’ll be running a race with a hundred pound weight around your leg. You’ll be swimming upstream against the currents and making it so much harder to grow and make much of an impact. So the first essential concept that you must learn and master is the concept of friction. Friction is anything that slows down, disrupts or prevents the organic and natural growth of a business. Friction causes your patients to question or resist your care. The two most significant types of friction comes from the doctor’s perspective and also from the patient’s perspective. However, I can assure you that there are hundreds of points of friction slowing you down and holding you back right now. The second essential concept in today’s practice model is pricing.

Your fee should be based on the value you create, the time you spend with a patient and your clinical outcomes. But patients are willing to pay a higher fee for a practice that has a lot less friction in it. The third essential concept is your clinic operations and implementation. Every successful, profitable, and growing business has a chief operating officer CA to carry out the vision standards and mission of this chief executive officer. You are the chief executive officer, but if you don’t have a chief operating officer, you are already way behind the curve, my friend. The fourth key concept you must be aware of is becoming a passion brand. Passion brands attract and invigorate people who are passionate about you and your services. Passion brands consistently deliver an emotional benefit. If you are not doing this, if you are not marketing yourself into a passion brand, again, you are way behind the curve.

Stay with me. I have two more essential concepts to share with you. Number five, the fifth essential concept is persuasion. The ability to effectively communicate and influence how other people think and then behave. I’ve shared with you before that the best and the most successful practices are led by the most effective communicators. Yes, we need to be great clinicians, but we also need to be great communicators. By the way, having poor or ineffective communication is a point of friction. Finally, the sixth essential concept for you to understand and utilize is getting inside the head of the decision makers, learning to identify the real influencer so you can effectively communicate directly with them in a way that they fully understand your message and take the correct action as a result of it. This is a science all into itself. It’s simple, it’s easy, and it’s essential.

The most important question is this. Is it possible for you to succeed or to express your potential if you’re not even aware of any or all of these six critical and essential concepts? Or said another way if, if you want to accelerate your growth and you’re not aware of this, is that even possible?
